• "Financial Reload-2017" Olympiad for schoolchildren held in EKSTU

On 20th of May EKSTU held an Olympiad in finance, accounting and auditing. The event was conducted by teachers and students of "Finance, Accounting and Taxation" department in conjunction with the Department of Pre-University Training.

The main objective of the Olympiad was to identify and develop the creative abilities and interest in research activities in the field of finance, accounting and auditing, the creation of the necessary conditions for the support of gifted children, and the dissemination and popularization of accounting and financial knowledge among young people in schools and colleges.

Particular activity was shown by the pupils of the final classes of the following schools in Ust-Kamenogorsk: №1, №15, №16, №29, №33, №34, №44, №46, «Daryn» lyceum аnd school No. 3 of Zyryanovsk.

Teams showed excellent knowledge and skills, quickness and sagacity, originality and extraordinar thinking, creativity and ability to work in team. The opening of the creative abilities of the participants was facilitated by the atmosphere of ease, goodwill, and mutual assistance that prevailed at the Olympics, created thanks to the professionalism of the lecturers of the department. Students of financial and accounting specialties who took part in the preparation and holding of the Olympiad were able to tell about not only the knowledge they got at the university, but also about the opportunities to realize their talents in after-hours.

A strict jury, chaired by the head of Service Center No. 2 of VKOF JSC Zhilstroysberbank of Kazakhstan, A. Samzhanov - a graduate of "Finance" specialty in 2012, helped to choose the best participants. Following the results of the Olympiad, all participants received diplomas for participation in the nominations: "Creative financier"; "Financial erudite"; "The future banker"; "The Young Accountant."

This event is held by the graduating "Finance, Accounting and Taxation" department for the second year and it is thought that it will become tradition for our university and will improve the quality of selection of non-standard thinking talented students!

• Open Day of the School of Business and Entrepreneurship

D. Serikbayev EKSTU School of Business and Entrepreneurship conducted an open day called "Professional self-determination program "Career Navigator" for schoolchildren of the city. Prepared a concert program for the guests. The EKSTU School of Business and Entrepreneurship graduates, who successfully work in financial structures and business and entrepreneurship sphere of our region made a presentation to the schoolchildren. The students also pleased to listen to two business trainers from Ukraine - the director of the International Academy of Business Education, the leading trainer and author of trainings on personal development and effectiveness, associate professor Natalia Koroleva and Ruslan Kostyrko, professor of Accounting and Auditing Department of the Ukraine University of Banking. The event ended with a flash mob, to which all participants of the meeting actively joined.
