Implementation of scientific innovation projects, state budget and economic contract topics
teaching staff of the School of Information Technology annually participate in competitions for the selection of scientific projects to provide grants for scientific research. Currently, the teaching staff of the school is involved in the implementation of 2 scientific projects within the framework of program-targeted and grant funding for scientific research by the Science Committee of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2020-2023. The projects reflect current trends in the development of the economy, science, engineering and technology.

Research activities of teachers and students
The teaching staff of the faculty in the reporting year took part in international conferences and seminars in various countries: Germany, Indonesia, Turkey, Korea, Ukraine, Malaysia, Kyrgyz Republic, Azerbaijan Republic, Great Britain, Czech Republic, Russia, Bulgaria, Tajikistan, Hungary.
In 2021, 3 textbooks and 3 monographs were published. Total publications in journals with a non-zero impact factor, journals and collections of foreign countries, journals and collections of Kazakhstan amounted to 10.
Teachers of SITiIS constantly improve their skills at advanced training courses, internships and seminars. In 2022, the number of teaching staff who qualified for the school amounted to 15 people. The number of certificates received is 10.
Students and undergraduates annually participate in various Republican and international research competitions. In 2021, the number of papers was 11. The participation of students, undergraduates and doctoral students in international and republican conferences was 73.
The teaching staff of the school received more than 10 copyright certificates, patents for inventions and for a utility model of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
For the calendar year 2022 , 4 doctoral students of the school defended :
The percentage of degrees is: doctors, candidates of sciences and doctors of PhD - 50%, masters - 42%.
The percentage with academic titles is 12.5 % .
In 2022, the dissertations for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy ( Ph.D ) were defended by Alibekkyzy K., Alimkhanova A. Zh., Kusayyn-Murat Ә. T., specialty 6D070200 - Automation and control, Khasenova Z.T. majoring in "6D070400 - Computer Science and Software".
