Congratulations to the students of D. Serikbayev EKSTU Kusayin Assel Tugelbaikyzy (the 1st year master student of specialty "Automation and management", scientific supervisor Professor D. L. Alontseva) and Zhailaubayeva Kamilla Almatovna (2nd year student of the specialty "Geology and exploration of mineral deposits"), which became the winners of the Republican contest of Scientific-educational Foundation named after academician Shahmardan Yessenov on providing personalized monthly scholarships!
The scholarship contest consisted of two rounds and at the end of each the best students were selected. It was started on the 23rd of January 2017. This year the organizers have received 392 applications for participation in the competition. Among the candidates were students of more than 50 higher education institutions of Kazakhstan such as KBTU, KazNTU, Nazarbayev University, the international University of information technologies, D. Serikbaev EKSTU, Suleyman Demirel University, Karaganda state technical University, Korkyt ata Kyzylorda State University and others.
The students of D. Serikbayev EKSTU participated in this competition for the first time. On the 20th of March in the first round the names of 40 semi-finalists were announced. On the 31st of March and on the 1st of April in Almaty there was the final round of the competition, which was conducted by independent experts and psychologists in the form of a business game. After discussion on the 4th of April on the Foundation's website vessenovfoundation.org there was published the list of winners of the scholarship named after Shahmardan Yessenov. In addition to scholarships, the winners will get 25 thousand tenge per month from April 2017 to March 2018.
- Experience of participation in the scholarship competition gave me the incentive to achieve the goals, - Kusayin Assel shared with her impressions. - I am very impressed how the second round of the competition was held. It was interesting and informative. I met versatile, intelligent and friendly people. I will be happy to participate in such contests in the future.
