September 6 this year, D. Serikbayev East Kazakhstan state technical university held a joint meeting of AES-GIZ. The event was organized by the AES Group in Kazakhstan and GIZ. The meeting also brought together representatives of all partners of the project, namely D. Serikbayev EKSTU, Ust-Kamenogorsk Polytechnic College, as well as guests from the National Chamber of Entrepreneurs, Ulba Metallurgical Plant and Kazakhstan Electricity Grid Operating Company(KEGOC).

The leitmotif of the event is the demonstration of the project results achieved since its launch in October 2015. Speakers highlighted the issue of two manuals on safety and energy efficiency, specially developed within the project. A separate presentation was devoted to the interactive game "Synergy”.

"Looking back, we see that in East Kazakhstan, a project has been successfully implemented to ensure sustainable development in the field of workplace safety and energy efficiency," Olesya Bogun, project coordinator, said.

Speaking on behalf of the AES Group in Kazakhstan, Health and Safety Director Marat Makhambetov said that he would like to thank the representatives of GIZ for productive cooperation and support. He expressed confidence that this project will bring sustainable results in the form of competent specialists who will continue to work for the benefit of the energy sector not only of East Kazakhstan, but of the country as a whole.
