The event dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the birth of the legendary Kazakh writer and hero of the Soviet Union, Kasym Kaisenov, took place in the main educational building of D. Serikbayev EKSTU with the participation of university teachers and students.
The welcoming speech was given by Kansha Kaliyeva, assistant professor at the Department of History of Kazakhstan and socio-political disciplines.
"Kasym Kaisenov is a living symbol of military valor, patriotism and devotion to his people and country," she noted.
The students were shown a documentary about the life of the great military writer and veteran of the Second World War.
After watching the movie, a minute of silence was announced in memory of the People's Hero.
