September 1st, when Day of Knowledge is celebrated traditional festive dedicated to the beginning of new academic year took place on the area of D.Serikbayev.

First-year and senior students were greeted by Nurlan Temirbekov, Rector of the University, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Professor, Academician of the National Academy of Engineering of the Republic of Kazakhstan, member of National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

- This academic year is special; our university celebrates 55 anniversary, - said Nurlan Muhanovich. - On September 18th, the University will welcome scientists from around the world to participate in the International Conference dedicated to 55th anniversary of EKSTU. Over these years the University achieved a great deal and we are deservedly proud of these achievements. D.Serikbayev EKSTU in ranked top ten universities with focus to innovation in Kazakhstan. It is the first Univerisity in Kazakhstan operating by the model "University - Technopark ." We have already achieved a lot, and I think that this academic year we will have a new stage of development.

Nurlan Muhanovich congratulated first-year students with their first year noting that for them in high school all conditions.

- I'm glad you chose our university - Nurlan Muhanovich said. - This year we have a good set of students. It is good and what is received in EKSTU medalists - owners Altyn Belgi, special sample certificates and awards competitions . It is encouraging that these talented guys will now be to learn from us.

On this auspicious day, the director of the Institute of postgraduate education and new educational technologies, the candidate of physical and mathematical sciences Erken Turganbaev was awarded by the International Diploma of PhD, distinguished students of the university by the certificates of appointment of scholarships established by the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
