On April 12, 2023 teachers of "History of Kazakhstan and SPD" and "The Kazakh and Russian languages" subdepartments at the Faculty of Liberal Arts together with heads of "Altyn besik - Muztau", "Zerde" and "Abai" clubs organized and held the event " Батырлардың даңқы мәңгілік" devoted to the Victory Day in the library hall of D. Serikbayev EKTU.
Zauresh Ertayevna Baykenova, a volunteer, teacher, and a native of Borodulikha district, who is engaged in searching for information about those killed at the war front in 1941-1945, took part in the event. In her report, she told about the ways of searching for information about the front-line soldiers from Kazakhstan who took part in the Great Patriotic War, about the heroic deeds of the military divisions formed in Kazakhstan. Telling about the search teams created in Pavlodar, Semey, Ust-Kamenogorsk, the guest of the event requested the students to make an electronic version of the collected materials and distribute it in social networks.
Then a senior teacher Kansha Savetkanovna Kalieva, Candidate of History, made a report "The return of Adaykan Kaliev - a Red Army soldier - 80 years later: the Great Patriotic War in the history of the Kaliev family ", in which once again she reminded about the immortal feats of heroes Bauyrzhan Momyshuly, Manshuk Mametova, Aliya Moldagulova who defended our homeland. K.S. Kalieva talked about searching for materials about her four grandfathers who died in the war and immortalization of her grandfather's name and her trip to Pskov oblast, Velikolukskiy region, to the burial place of her grandfather.
During the event, a feedback was provided - students wrote mini essays on the topic "Why do people need historical memory?" in which they wrote that they should know their history, the history of their families and the country, and should not to forget the deeds of our ancestors.
What is more, students demonstrated their creativity: Zhapar Ernur, student of group 22 GTK-1, recited a poem "I hate war" by Kairat Zhumagaliev , Adil Akbota presented her own poem "Dedicated to the Great Victory", Arna Savetkanova, student of group 22 MIK-1, sang a song "Cranes" by Ya. Frenkel and M. Bernes in Kazakh (translation by Zharkyn Khabidullin, Astana).
Club leaders G. Z. Kapasova, A. I. Uryustyumova, G. T. Esimzhanova noted in their speeches that such events are necessary for the younger generation and urged students to join the search activities.
We thank the Department of Social and Cultural Activities and the Youth Policy for organizing the event.
