With a working visit to D.Serikbayev East Kazakhstan State Technical University visited Ambassador of the Kingdom of Belgium in the Republic of Kazakhstan Michel Alain Peetermans and head of economic department of this Embassy-Leila Aliyeva.

Guests were met by Rector of the university - Nurlan Temirbekov and Vice-Rector on science and international cooperation of the university - Oleg Gavrilenko. During a tour in university the work of regional laboratory of engineering profile "IRGETAS" was presented; also they visited regional geological museum laboratory "Big Altai", where were presented an extensive exposition of minerals and rocks, which are rich in our region, the technology business incubator "Bastau." The special impression on visitors made creative projects of students-designers at the exhibition of Architecture and Construction Faculty.

Michel Alain Peetermans noted the high scientific potential of the university and the uniqueness of scientific research. He expressed confidence that a lot of Belgian companies and universities are interested in establishing partnerships with D.Serikbayev East Kazakhstan State Technical University.
