May 15, first-year students of D.Serikbayev EKSTU participated in the V International Internet Olympiad on the Russian language and culture of speech, dedicated to the Day of Slavic Writing and Culture. The Olympiad was organized by the Siberian State University of Communications (Novosibirsk). Students of technical universities of Russia, Kazakhstan took part in the Olympiad.
The participants had to fulfill tasks not only of a linguistic nature, but also of a creative plan. So, the set of tasks was divided into three kinds of questions: linguistic tests, linguistic tasks and competition of captains. The students of our university brilliantly coped with the assigned tasks and took the second place.
The captains of the teams competed in writing a miniature work on the theme "The Speech Portrait of a Modern Business Man." In the personal championship the captain of our team took the third place.
