On the 31st of October there was the first meeting of the Supervisory (SB) at D.Serikbayev EKSTU, where the following issues were reviewed:
- The election of the Supervisory Board Chairman.
- The appointment of the Supervisory Board Secretary.
- Draft development Plan of the University for 2017-2021 years.
Chairman of the Supervisory Board was elected Akhmetov Danial Kenzhetaevich Akim of East Kazakhstan region, the Secretary – Duzkeneva Nailya Akataevna, The head of Strategic planning and quality management Department of D.Serikbaev EKSTU.
- Supervisory boards are opened in universities and schools for the systematic solving problems of corruption, transparency and accountability. Now this is very important for society, it needs a mechanism of quality control. And now there is going to be the first meeting of the Supervisory Board - said in an interview the Adviser of the President of JSC "State social insurance Fund" Svetlana Ferkho.
Among the present members of the Supervisory Board was the chief of GU "Department of entrepreneurship and industrial-innovative development of East Kazakhstan region" N. R. Mussin, Advisor of the President of JSC "State social insurance Fund" S. I. Ferkho, Director of the chamber of entrepreneurs of East Kazakhstan region I. V. Shatsky, Director of East Kazakhstan regional branch of JSC "Halyk Bank of Kazakhstan" N. M. Nechepurenko, General Director of LLP"Topaz" B. A. Bagadeev, Director of the International school of Astana B. S. Uzakbay, the rector of the University Zh. Shaimardanov, independent observer – managing Director-Director of East Kazakhstan branch JSC "Tsesnabank" B.D. Otarbekov.
The rector Zh. Shaimardanov presented the Plan of D. Serikbayev EKSTU development for the next five years.
- Today EKSTU has great economic and scientific potential. The main task of the Supervisory Board is to improve the quality of the educational process, to make the University more competitive, - said akim of East Kazakhstan region D.K. Akhmetov.
Vice-rector on science and international cooperation Oleg Gavrilenko made excursion for members the Supervisory Board. Members of the Supervisory Board began acquaintance with the University from the stands, where the activities of the University are detailed shown, its achievements in academic and scientific activities, as well as about the fruitful cooperation with foreign partners. The guests were shown scientific research centers of the University: scientific-production complex "Metallurgy and materials science", scientific-educational complex "Mechatronics, instrument engineering and energy", experimental production sites, and a Regional laboratory "IRGETAS".
On the 7th of July, 2016 by order of the Minister of education and science of the Republic of Kazakhstan it were approved the memberships of the Supervisory boards of state enterprises on the right of economic management.
