In this academic year, from September to June 2021-2022, a US citizen, a language assistant, and a Fulbright scholarship holder Henry Brink successfully worked at our university. Despite his young age, Henry already has experience in teaching English in Russia and Turkey, but his dream was to come to Kazakhstan and work here, or rather at our university. During the period of Grant, Henry Brink conducted training sessions, conversational clubs for students in the library named after A.S. Pushkin, attended open classes of teachers of the department of foreign languages, shared his experience and impressions. During a conversational club in ЕKTU, which took place every Thursday, Henry introduced our students to culture, history, and geography of the United States, helped to learn English using game technologies.
It is worth noting that during this academic year, Henry Brink fell in love with Kazakhstan, was able to master the Kazakh language at the initial level, learned several songs in the Kazakh language and performed them perfectly. Moreover, Henry held an open lesson with 1st year students in English, where he discussed the work of his beloved writer M. Dostoevsky.
The Department of Foreign Languages expresses Henry Brink its gratitude for close interaction and cooperation, wishes him further creative success and good luck!
