For the first time in D. Serikbayev East Kazakhstan state technical university took place VII stage of the Second All-Russian championship on the solution of cases in the field of mining. Here took part moderator, chairman of the board of "Youth Forum of Mining Leaders " Artem Korolev (Russia), leading expert on enrichment and hydrometallurgy "RUSSDRAGMET" Igor Temnikov, Vice-Rector on science and  international cooperation Oleg Gavrilenko of  D. Serikbayev  East Kazakhstan state technical university, deputy head of regional management concerning youth policy Serik Zhenisov, head of department of work with educational institutions of Management of training and development of the personnel of LTd. “Kazzinc” Elena Samsonova.

Within the action of this event took place solemn signing of the Cooperation agreement between EKSTU and “Youth Forum of Mining Leaders".

– Not incidentally action of such level takes place in our university, – Oleg Gavrilenko noted in his welcome speech. – EKSTU is one of the leading higher education institutions of the republic and leader of technical education in the east of Kazakhstan. We pay special attention to mining training of specialists and have quite wide international relations in this sphere, and also close contacts with the industrial enterprises of the region. And today having opportunity we want to show knowledge and abilities of our students- miners.

According to the words of Artem Korolev, this championship represents competition of students and graduate students of 20 higher education institutions of Kazakhstan and Russia in the solution of actual tasks of mining in a format of business cases. The purpose is assistance to pupils of higher education institutions – to participants of the championship in receiving practical knowledge and experience in the sphere of mining production by means of the solution of business cases.

– The championship allows to estimate development of students’ potential and graduate students of profile higher education institutions, promotes development of leader and professional competences, – he emphasized. – And also promotes public awareness of mining education and involvement of young specialists in mining sector, and their inclusion in a cadastral reserve of leading industry companies.

During this year over one thousand students and graduate students and also 200 professionals of branch who acted as his experts participated in the championship, estimating offers and performances of college teams. From February to May stages of the championship will be in 21 higher education institutions of both countries and the final of competition where winners of all stages will take part, will take place on May 30 in Moscow on a platform of the State geological museum of V. I. Vernadsky.
