On the 9th of November 2016 at D. Serikbayev EKSTU there was a joint meeting of the Veterans Council of the East Kazakhstan region and the Veterans Council of D. Serikbaev EKSTU.

Among the veterans were Chairman of the regional Veterans Council A. Sherubayev, the Chairman of the primary Veteran organization of S. Amanzholova EKSU L. Aubakirova, the Chairman of Ust-Kamenogorsk city Veterans Council  S. Denyakin, the Chairman of the primary veteran organization of the regional akimat L. Starkov and J. Batalov, T. Ipalakov, B. Dyachkov, L. Sergienko, N. Kulenova from Veterans Council of the University.

The excursion in the University was made for the participants of the joint meeting. During the excursion, accompanied by the rector  Zhasulan Shaymardanov, the guests were shown scientific research centers of the University with modern research and industrial equipment. In particular, veterans were interested in robotic line "FESTО" new laboratory "Mechatronics and automation", etc.

During a meeting at the round table the rector of the University told about changes in the higher education system of Kazakhstan, the strategic development program of the University and the challenges University faculty are faced.

During the meeting there was a casual conversation and exchange of views.

- I am absolutely agree with You. Today time is changing fast, the demands are quite different, therefore, in modern conditions students must be studied at such a well-equipped University – the Chairman of the regional Veterans Council A. Sherubayev said.

- Indeed, here so many  honorary professors worked, but it should be noted that fifty percent of them did not know how to use a computer. In the teaching process we use modern design software, which are used in enterprises, so it is important that graduates of our University are able to work confidently with these programs,  N.Kulenova  said.

At the end of the meeting the Chairman of the primary Veteran organization of S. Amanzholova EKSU L. Aubakirova read the poem to the audience.
