According to tradition, this year there was a competition "Mr. EKSTU" at D. Serikbayev EKSTU. Preparation for this significant event took place during the month. Eight of the most enterprising and talented young men of our University came to compete for the title of "Mr EKSTU-2017". Each of the contestants has come a long way to the final. They invented heroes, looked for details, filming videos until late night rehearsed the talent. The competition consisted of several preliminary stages. The first was sports in which young men demonstrated their physical fitness and endurance. The second was a cooking competition where the contestants acted as chefs and prepared various dishes. The third and final stage was to show their abilities and talent on stage.

On the 24th of February, in the University act hall there was the final of the contest "Mister EKSTU-2017". The final competition consisted of several stages. All participants took a difficult test: show shows, to demonstrate the ability to stand on the stage, to discover their talents in creativity, show off their dance skills, intellectual capacity and erudition.

Two hours were held in the same breath, all the audience's attention was constantly riveted to the participants who presented on court of spectators and jury with their talents. All jury members agreed that the competition was great, and the organizers have tried their best. The contest revealed winners in the following categories:

  • "Mr. EKSTU - 2017" - Alibek Nurpeissov, a student group 14-VTT-1, Information technology and business Department;
  • "The firstVice Mr. EKSTU- 2017" - Koksegenov Alem, a student group 13-TT-1, Engineering Department;
  • "The second Vice Mr. EKSTU- 2017" - Samat Ali student group 16-TMK-2, Engineering Department;
  • "The third Vice Mr. EKSTU - 2017" - Ospanov Serikzhaan, a student group 14-DG-1, Earth Sciences Department;
  • "Mr. audience award - 2017" - Koksegenov Alem, a student group 13-TT-1, Engineering Department;

All the contestants were awarded with participation certificates and the winner’s diplomas and valuable prizes from sponsors and organizers of the event.
