The solemn meeting dedicated to the 73rd anniversary of victory in the Great Patriotic War and the Day of the Defender of the Fatherland was held in D. Serikbayev EKSTU.

The event began with the introduction of the banner. Then, the rector of the University, Zhasulan Shaimardanov, congratulated veterans, employees and students on the holiday.

Creative collectives of EKSTU presented guests with songs of war years immersing listeners in deep thoughts about those hard days. So, the song "Ardagherler" in the talented performance of Shalkar Mukamgaliyev was picked up by the whole hall.

During the demonstration of the slides of the war years, many had tears in their eyes. According to the audience, those were tears of gratitude for the peaceful sky overhead, friendship and the consent of our people.

A minute of silence, the youth and the older generation paid tribute to the memory of the heroes, whose names will forever remain in the hearts of the current and future generations.

“Thanks to the organizers that for several years already they have been holding such events, where we have the opportunity to talk with each other, remember the youth and, of course, listen and sing your favorite songs" -said the veterans.

Also, representatives of the primary trade union organization in honor of May 7 gave all the men of the university certificates.
