On 17 April 2020 EKSTU held a roundup seminar titled "Education Without Borders With EKSTU". The objective of the event was to introduce future applicants to all double diploma joint educational programs of the D. Serikbayev EKSTU with partner universities, leaders in training personnel in such areas as materials science, energy, radio engineering and telecommunications, information protection methods, nanoelectronics, instrument engineering, computer technology and programming, business management of production systems and other priority areas of the economy. In total, EKSTU's twenty five joint dual diploma educational programs were presented.

The webinar was participated by a representative of the Kazan State Power Engineering University's International Department Regina Arslanova.

This online conference on EKSTU's joint dual diploma educational programs was moderated by Tamara Segeda, Director of the Center for International Educational Programs.

EKSTU was represented by:

  • Konurbayeva Zhadyra Tusupkhanovna - Candidate of Economic Sciences, Vice Rector for Academic and Methodological Affairs;
  • Mashekenova Asiya Khasenovna - Candidate of Technical Sciences, Head of the Department for Academic Affairs;
  • Trofimenko Svetlana Aleksandrovna - Head of the Department for Career Guidance ;
  • Daulbaeva Assel Sovetbekqyzy - Secretary of the Admission Committee.

The webinar was attended by school graduates of the East Kazakhstan region. During the Q&A session, our future applicants told more about their interest in joint educational programs in various fields such as road transport and economics. New challenges were posed and new facets of cooperation in the academic field with the foreign partners of EKSTU were opened up. The participants from EKSTU presented the selection algorithm for double-degree programs, answered questions of interest, and held useful and relevant consultations for high school students and their parents.

In the week of 13-17 April 2020, the webinars were actively participated by school graduates from Ust-Kamenogorsk, Semey, Ridder, Altai, Shemonaikhinsky, Glubokovsky, Ulansky, Borodulikhinsky and other districts of the East Kazakhstan region. There were connections also from other regions of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Over the course of the webinars, participants made over two hundred connections.

Without a doubt, such webinars are useful and relevant, and will be held in the future. During such web meetings, school graduates are directly informed of the opportunity to receive a high-quality education without leaving their home country, and realize their dream of acquiring the competencies of leading universities in the conditions of a pandemic.

In the period of 21-23 April 2020, EKSTU and partner universities hold a series of webinars about dual diploma master's programs in such areas as programming, instrumentation, medical engineering, mechatronic biotechnological systems, energy, technosphere safety, and industrial management.
