In his Address, the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, N. Nazarbayev noted that "Smart Technologies" is a chance for a breakthrough in the development of the agro-industrial complex. In particular, the Head of State emphasizes that for this purpose it is necessary to direct the agrarian policy to dramatically increase labor productivity and exports of processed agricultural products by transferring new technologies and adapting them to domestic conditions.
Within the framework of implementation of the tasks, which are outlined in the third direction of the Message, in this year the East Kazakhstan State Technical University will introduce a new innovative Master's Educational Program called "Precise Farming". Engineering and technical personnel trained in this program will specialize in geodesy, cartography, information, satellite and GIS technologies, unmanned vehicle management, agronomy, planning and management economics. In particular, they will purposefully develop innovative management systems for agricultural machinery and agrotechnologies for precision farming
