On the 20th of September within decade of languages there was the presentation of the clubs "Soleil" and "Erudite" at D. Serikbaev EKSTU. The clubs’ representatives told the students about the work of their clubs.
The organizer of the club "Soleil" Saule Ualieva, Candidate of Historical Sciences, told about the aims of club creation.
- "Soleil" is created to develop the practice of spoken English, for meetings and communication with foreign guests, scientists and professors. The main objectives of the club are: familiarity with the culture, traditions and social life of different countries; to improve skills in spoken English; communication with guests from foreign countries, with scientists and professors. The work of the club is conducted in English, - said Saule Ualieva.
Next was presented the intellectual club "Erudite". It is organized by the Kazakh, Russian languages Department. The aim of this club is to raise awareness of language as an expression of national culture, the awakening of students ' interest in learning the Kazakh language.
- Today Kazakh language is one of the values, as it is a part of the level of education and literacy of the modern society. The Kazakh language is the key to career growth, improvement and capacity development of the Republic of Kazakhstan citizens. Today our government develops and implements a variety of programs for intensive study of the Kazakh language by all citizens of the country. – said one of the heads of the club Aliya Bakiyeva.
Accordingly, the objectives of the club "Erudite" are: to develop the research skills and project activities; to expand the understanding of the Kazakh language, its possibilities; to teach speech etiquette; to enrich vocabulary.
