There was a training  "Organization of Safe work - IOSH" in the framework of the cooperative project of AES and GIZ on training of safety work in the workplace and energy efficiency for sustainable development of the East Kazakhstan region. 

This training was held at the corporate training center and conducted by a certified trainer for the course by IOSH Balabolkin V.V.

The training was attended by teachers of the D. Serikbayev East Kazakhstan State Technical University, Ust-Kamenogorsk Polytechnic College, as well as employees of AES businesses in Kazakhstan, responsible for safety and labor protection.

The main objective of the course is to ensure that the requirements of safety work is performed by specialists who are employed as managers/engineers and allow them to revise their system on safety work, introduce new controls or implement changes as opportunities to make jobs more secure.

The expected results of the training course:

  • The decrease in the number of work hours lost due to illnesses and injuries that can improve performance
  • Improving the overall culture of safety in the company and understanding of the necessity in application of measures on labor protection and safety work
  • Employee engagement in the process of improving conditions in the workplace
  • Improving the company's reputation in the market.

The course IOSH covered the following issues:

  • Risk assessment
  • Risk control
  • Understanding your responsibilities
  • The hazard identification
  • Accident investigation
  • Statistical analysis
  • Protection of the environment

After the end of the training all participants were tested and they were given certificates of participation from Baitau Partners. The participants will be given an international certificate, accredited by IOSH, after confirmation of good test results and risk assessment in the workplace.

According to the written evaluation, course participants were satisfied with the presentation of the material and an extensive level of lecturer’s knowledge.
