On the eve of the First President Day regional competition of young poets called "Әз – Елбасы жыр арқауы шығыстың" took place at the University. Before the contest was held a short film about the Elbasy (the Head of the State) was shown.

Parting words were addressed to fourteen most deserving candidates and all young people by Berdybek Saparbaev and Shalatay Myrzahmetov, Majilis Deputy. In poetic lines contestants told about the achievements of our country and about wise policy of Elbasy. As a result, Ermek Dayyrbaev, main specialist of Ayagoz District Authority, was awarded Grand Prix.
