On the 2nd of September 2016 at D.Serikbayev East Kazakhstan State Technical University was held a round table on the theme the Program "English Language Program". The meeting was attended by the Head of Regional office of English Programs in Central Asia, Embassy of the United States, John Scocco, Teacher of English language, Stephanie Corwin, Co-rector for Academic and Methodological Work Linok N.N., The Head of Academic activities Department G.Zh. Soltan, the leader of the project "Trilingualism– the success formula" M.F.Usubalieva.
According to the program, English teachers from the U.S. are sent to higher educational institutions, upgrading institutes, and to other organizations related to the teaching of English, for a period of ten months (one academic year) to teach English language and to upgrade the faculty of the host institution. American teachers share their experience and contribute to the professional growth of their colleagues in such areas as methodology, preparation of study programs, etc.
This program is funded by the Government of the United States of America through the Educational and cultural relations Bureau and administered by Intercultural education and Development Center of Georgetown University, USA.
Experience and international relations of Stephanie Corwin and our University potential will be focused on the implementation of the model "University – the forum!" - International platform for wide interaction, communication, dissemination of knowledge, research and implementation of the project "Trilingualism - the success formula".
Trilingualism is the direction, to which is given great attention, both from the state and from society. The increase of people who speak three languages is possible by a scientific approach to the issue, using and implementation of innovative methods, as well as using the existing experience, contributing to effective language learning.
