On the 10th of June, 2017, the International Specialized Exhibition "Astana Expo-2017" opened its doors. It is a world-wide event aimed at education, the exchange of innovative solutions, promotion of progress and development of cooperation.  The exhibition takes its beginning in 1851 in London, and to this day opens new horizons in the maintenance of sustainable development and the progressive solution of international problems.

- The main theme of EXPO-2017 is "Future Energy". It reflects the international community's concern about energy consumption, which has an increasing impact on the planet. The main objective of the exhibition is to call for accountability, stimulate discussions and build knowledge so that people learn to plan and monitor energy consumption on the planet, minimizing damage to the nature.

More than 100 countries and 10 international organizations took part in the preparation of the pavilions.

World exhibitions are unique in scale, innovation and the number of visitors to the event. To date, the International Exhibition Bureau (IBE) has 168 member states, and all of them express readiness and willingness to host an event of such a significant scale.

We are grateful to the leadership and personally the rector of D.Serikbayev EKSTU Zhassulan Shaimardanov for the opportunity to witness one of the brightest pages in the history of independent Kazakhstan.
