On April 19-20, 2018, for the fourth time the Republican student's Olympiad "Zhas Tolkyn" was held in Almat ywithin the framework of the Republican festival "Tіregy sender elimnin", organized by the Council of Young Scientists under the Foundation of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Elbasy.
The Olympics were held for two days and included several directions. On the first day, eight teams from Almaty, Astana, Pavlodar, Aktobe and our team competed in sports skills in the sports and training complex of the Foundation of the First President of Kazakhstan. Forty people competed in the race for 100 meters, long jump, ball throw and push-up. The EKSTU team was the first in the most difficult competition - the relay race. The second day of the Olympiad "Zhas Tolikyn" was held at the University of International Business UIB. The deputy chairman of the SMU at the Fund, the candidate of medical sciences, Suhrab Zhaparov, delivered a welcoming speech. On this day, students from eight universities of Kazakhstan passed the test for the ability to think outside the box. The teams participated in the contest of oratory skills on the topic: "My contribution to the future of the country", where the captain of the D.Serikbayev EKSTU’s team "Forward wave", Dmitri Merzlyakov, received the highest judgments of the jury. Also the teams presented the videos "Student Life". And the most importantly, the jury demonstrated their scientific projects.
Based on the results of all competitions, team of students of the D. Serikbayev EKSTU consisting of: Ikbaeva Alina (group 15-BE-1), Antonov Nikolay (group 14-RT-1), Merzlyakov Dmitri (group 17-EL-1), Aliev Djamily (group 15-BE -1), Musaev Elbrus (class 17-BE-1) under the direction of the senior lecturer of the department of "Engineering Entrepreneurship" Mezentseva L. took 1 place!
