Solemn closing of the regional olympiad of junior pupils "Baldyrhan" took place in EKSTU named after D. Serikbayev. It should be noted that the Olympiad started on March 26 and was held among the pupils of the 3rd and 4th grades of the educational facilities of the East Kazakhstan Region. The event was organized by the Educational Department of EKR, and East Kazakhstan Regional Research Center “Daryn.”

Olympiad purpose was the propaganda of the scientific knowledge, increasing of the intellectual level of students, creation of the necessary conditions for the identification and development of gifted children and the formation of motivation to achieve success.

Olympiad’s subjects were Kazakh language and literature; Russian language and literature; Kazakh language in Russian schools; Russian language in Kazakh schools; English language; knowledge of the world; mathematics; and art.

Within the framework of the Olympiad, the cultural and educational program, psychological training, and visiting cultural places of the city were organized for the participants.

Winners of the regional Olympiad were awarded with diplomas of I, II, III degrees and memorable gifts.
