Serikbayev East Kazakhstan Technical University and Tianjin Vocational Institute.
The project envisages further strengthening of cooperation between Kazakhstan and the PRC in the field of applied technologies and higher technical education, as well as support for the "One Belt, One Road" initiative.
"I can confidently say that the ‘Luban Workshop' is a unique project for our country. Today, the trends in the development of the automotive industry in Kazakhstan are aimed at introducing new types of fuel, modern structural materials, improving safety in vehicle management, and using artificial intelligence in automotive transport. In this regard, the opening of a workshop that will allow students to study advanced automotive technologies using modern Chinese equipment will prepare a new generation of engineers," emphasized Sayasat Nurbek.
According to Zhang Lin, the Vice Mayor of the Municipal People's Government of Tianjin, the "Luban Workshop" will prepare highly qualified specialists of an international level.
"I believe that based on the completed construction and organizational work, the ‘Luban Workshop' will operate in the place where the joint construction of the ‘One Belt, One Road' initiative was first proposed, and will prepare highly qualified specialists of an international level," noted Zhang Lin.
As part of the "Luban Workshop" project, joint training of EKTU students is planned for the educational programs "Transport, Transport Equipment and Technologies" using the method of teaching the innovative project of engineering practice Engineering Practice Innovation Project (EPIP) and using advanced Chinese equipment.
To implement the project, 15 teachers of EKTU underwent training from August 1 to 25, 2023, based at the Tianjin Vocational Institute in Tianjin (PRC).
To ensure the educational process in the "Luban Workshop", colleagues from the Tianjin Vocational Institute have supplied modern Chinese equipment in the field of automotive transport.
The equipment consists of training platforms that allow you to gain practical skills in studying the maintenance, repair, and diagnostics of fuel, electric, and hybrid cars, as well as automotive intelligent systems. Among them: a platform for disassembling and assembling an engine, an automatic transmission, a balancing and tire fitting stand, a platform for studying the lighting and auto comfort system, a platform for studying the components of electric and hybrid cars, a platform for studying the ADAS intelligent system, an unmanned car, and others.
