D. Serikbayev East Kazakhstan Technical University (EKTU) hosted the closing plenary session of the International Conference "Engineering Education: Challenges, Trends, Best Practices (EE: CTBP)." The work of the sections focused on the challenges of engineering education, emphasizing innovative approaches in the context of digitalization and sustainable development. Discussions actively addressed project management skills, design thinking, and risk management methods. Participants highlighted the need to integrate new programs for both students and faculty, as well as to prepare specialists for the mining industry and renewable energy sectors.
The sections dedicated to the international CDIO initiative and certification of engineering personnel reviewed 10 presentations on new certification models and the quality of specialist training. The importance of accreditation and industry connections for preparing competitive professionals was emphasized by participants.
In sections on educational technologies and digital innovations, trends such as the integration of AI into education, mobile applications, and digital twins in industry were discussed, underscoring the significance of digitalizing educational processes.

The presented reports covered key global and regional challenges, new trends, and best practices that inspire and shape the future of engineering education. The International Conference "Engineering Education: Challenges, Trends, Best Practices," held at D.
