On December 12, 2024, the first day of the workshop titled “Collaboration as a Method for Industrial Technology Commercial Development” began at D. Serikbayev East Kazakhstan Technical University (EKTU). The event focused on market analysis, new technologies, global industry trends, as well as the development of sustainable growth strategies and the implementation of environmental standards.
The workshop's primary goal is to identify key areas for modernization and development that contribute to accelerated industrial growth and return on investment. Participants are working on long-term strategies that integrate economic, environmental, and social aspects, ensuring a comprehensive approach to development.
The keynote speaker was Dr. Evgeniya Yakushina, Strategic Technology Development Program Developer, Lead Knowledge Exchange Scientist at the National Manufacturing Institute Scotland (NMIS), and Visiting Professor at the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow. Her lectures and practical sessions provided participants with essential tools and knowledge for sustainable development, global trend analysis, and overcoming industry challenges.
The workshop served as a significant platform for experience sharing and fostering partnerships between representatives of leading companies, including Kazzinc LLP, Ulba Metallurgical Plant JSC, United Energy Service Company JSC, Ust-Kamenogorsk Capacitor Plant LLP, VK Development Group LLP, and Pilot farm of oil plants LLP. Participants actively proposed ideas and shared their visions regarding the industry’s needs while contributing to the development of a strategic horizon map that will serve as a foundation for future modernization steps.
The workshop will continue on December 17, offering participants an opportunity to deepen their knowledge and further develop sustainable development strategies and innovative solutions to support the growth and modernization of regional enterprises.
