The international competition for the renovation of the Summer Campus, commemorating the 65th anniversary of VKTU "Space", is nearing its end.

We would like to remind you that the aim of this competition is to formulate a comprehensive solution for the development of the summer expedition campus "Prostor", located on the Bukhtarma reservoir in the East Kazakhstan region. Special attention has been given to the task of adapting the summer town to modern requirements and trends, while ensuring that it remains environmentally friendly in accordance with international standards.

Today, the members of the international jury held a meeting to commence the assessment of the projects submitted. The jury consists of competent and professional representatives from various organizations, including a foreign partner university, the New School of Architecture and Design (USA), namely Daniela Deutsch - head of the Architecture program, and Philipp Bosshart - assistant professor. The jury also includes representatives from partner enterprises, such as the Chief architect of the KAZGOR Central Planning Committee, member of the Board of the Union of Architects of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and head of the Club of Young Architects at the Union of Architects of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Anton Fedyanin, as well as the Director of "Archimas" LLP, member of the Union of Architects of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Gleb Trashkov. Representatives from the university also make up the jury, including Associate Professor of the D.Serikbayev EKTU, Candidate of Architecture, Associate Professor of the Higher Attestation Commission, member of the Union of Architects of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Honorary Architect of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Cultural worker of the Republic of Kazakhstan - Mikhail Kozlov, graduate of the University and current graduate student of the gr. 22-MAR-2t - Tahir Mukin, and the Chairman of the jury, Rector of the University, Chairman of the Board - Saule Rakhmetullina.

Out of the many projects submitted, only 12 have been selected for the final selection process. Today, the jury will determine the best among them.
