The fourteenth Republican scientific conference of undergraduates, graduate students and young scientists "Creativity of the young – to innovative development of Kazakhstan" was held in D. Serikbayev EKSTU. The rector of EKSTU Nurlan Temirbekov, Deputy head of the regional Department of education Aizhan Sadykov, the head of internal policy Department of Ust-Kamenogorsk Yerlan Zhakupov, the head of the education Department of Ust-Kamenogorsk Alexander Kuznetsov, the teaching staff of the university, as well as young scientists, graduate students, doctoral candidates and students of the East Kazakhstan region and the Republic took part in its work. Opening the plenary meeting rector Temirbekov congratulated the participants of this event, noting that today the development of science and youth involvement is a very important direction.

- At present, in our region and generally in the country, there is high demand for specialists of technical professions that have innovative thinking, - said the rector. - Our graduates meet all modern requirements, that is why the demand is always high. The fact is that more than 80 enterprises of the city, region and republic take part in traditional “Specialists’ Fairs” which are held annually in the university.

With a salutatory word to participants of the conference was Yerlan Zhakupov.

- It is grateful that in EKSTU follow the traditions and provides overall support to youth engaged in scientific research, - he said, turning to the young scientists. - This conference will serve as a basis for your further more important scientific achievements and, probably, will become a starting point in your academic and professional career.

Welcoming the conference participants, Aizhan Sadykova said that today our country needs well-educated and creative specialists who are ready to fulfill the objectives of the strategy "Kazakhstan-2050", chief among which is the entrance into 30 highly developed countries of the world. That is why today the development and support of Kazakh science is the state’s priority tasks.

In turn, Alexandr Kuznetsov pointed out that the main source of personnel for scientific and technical work is precisely the universities. Therefore, the holding of such conference allows young scientists to make concrete proposals and to use this opportunity to engage actively in the modernization of our country.

The eight scientific reports were heard during the conference. Among them the special interest of the audience called master’s performance EKSTU of Beybit Kondybayev “Subjective factor in assessing the condition of auto roads”, student’s of  M. Auezov SKSU (South Kazakhstan State University) Shynar Baltabayeva “Problems of translation from Russian into Kazakh language engineering terms”, Bauyrzhan Rahatdilov’s report “Electrolytic-plasma nitriding of high speed steels”, and also doctoral candidate at the EKSTU Rustem Tyulyubergenev’s report “Computable nilpotent groups without torsion target dimensions”.

Then the conference was continued in the sections on eight areas: “Innovative development of construction and architecture”, “Economic and managerial problems of innovative development of society”, “Actual problems of the mining industry”, “Information and communication techniques  in education, science and technology”, “Energy and power saving”, “Innovation in engineering, transport and material sciences”, “The role of socio-humanitarian sciences and foreign languages in the development of innovative processes”, “Military science and physical culture”. There were discussed problematic issues concerning these areas, also prospects and mechanisms of their further development at the sectional lessons (breakout sessions).
