In D.Serikbayev EKSTU held a regular meeting of the Supervisory Board (SB) under the chairmanship of the regional akim Danial Akhmetov.
The Chairman of the Supervisory Board examined the research facilities of the University: the research and production complex Metallurgy and Materials Science, the scientific and educational complex Mechatronics, Instrument-Making and Power Engineering, pilot production sites and others.

The rector of EKSTU Shaimardanov Zhassulan presented conceptual approaches to further development and enhancement of the university's competitiveness.

The head of the region noted that the main priority for the university is the employment of graduates. The university has qualified staff and good opportunities for further integration, in addition with large enterprises in the region.
