Research and Production Center for BIM design in construction

Increasing the competitiveness of graduates of architectural and construction specialties is associated with the introduction of new information technologies into the educational process. The main task of the center is to teach students and masters a new technology of building information modeling (BIM – Building Information Modeling) - the processes and methods of working together with information about the construction object, which can be used at all stages of the life cycle of buildings and structures.

The center studies and uses the experience of construction and development companies in the use of BIM technologies to create their projects, which allows avoiding mistakes, eliminating collisions when coordinating project sections. Along with obtaining deep theoretical knowledge of architecture and construction, the student will gain professional skills in working with modern software products, get an idea of multi-stage design as part of a design team, including all elements of construction - architecture, building structures, engineering networks, construction production technology.

In the course of training, students will carry out real projects of buildings and structures under the guidance of the center's staff - teachers of special disciplines of the architectural and construction profile with design experience.

STRUCTURE of THE CENTER

COMPOSITION of CC and TT in THE FIELD of BIM-DESIGN

The laboratory of BIM-design technologies closely cooperates with the laboratory of reliability and durability of building structures, the design bureau NPII "Vostokakademproekt" and the student design and technological bureau "Engineering". This allows solving a complex of problems of construction, reconstruction of buildings and structures on the basis of existing certificates and licenses.

Fields of Research:

  • new design technologies;
  • development of new software products and their improvement;
  • design of new facilities using modern lightweight building materials;
  • survey, assessment of seismic safety and reliability of existing buildings using BIM technologies;
  • design of reconstruction and seismic reinforcement of existing buildings;
  • design of refurbishment, redevelopment of premises in existing buildings;
  • development of 3D models of buildings, structures, interiors;
  • development of BIM libraries of building products and structures for construction industry enterprises;
  • assessment of industrial safety of buildings and structures.

Area of Academic Activity:

Continuous improvement of design based on BIM technologies for students and undergraduates of the specialties "Architecture", "Design", "Construction", "Transport construction", "BIM technologies in design", "Engineering systems", "Water supply and sewerage", " Production of building materials and structures”.
