Within the framework of vocational guidance work of D. Serikbayev EKSTU along with Department of Emergency Situations of East Kazakhstan Region, “Young Rescuer” contest took place for pupils of 9-10 grades. The event was participated by teams’ supervisors, medical workers and representatives of our university.

The event aim was to determine young people with a future profession and correctly navigate in emergency situations.

The pupils had to go through 3 competitive stages, performing various tasks: first aid, emergency rules, artificial respiration and indirect heart massage. The jury was assembled from among the medical workers. The teams presented their business cards and proceeded to carry out the tasks.

According to the results of the competition, the first place was taken by a team from the secondary school №46, the second place of KSU "Novo-Bukhtarminskaya secondary school" and the third secondary school №47. Winners were awarded diplomas and cups, and supervisors received small gifts.

In the end, the specialists told and showed how to properly provide first aid in such circumstances.
