This fall EKTU participates in the republican contest "3,2,1, start!" for the collection of plastic for recycling.
At the beginning of the academic year special eco-boxes were installed at the university. They are installed in the campus near cafe, in halls, WC, in corridors and on stairs. From the eco-boxes the plastic is then collected centrally and sent for recycling.
Members of the university's eco-clubs participated in the installation of eco-boxes. Announcements about the start of the project were sent out by corporate mail. This activity was supported by the university community. The installation of eco-boxes was met with active interest. Several eco-boxes were installed in departments, for example, in the office of the youth wing.
The university's policy is to minimize the use of plastic, aimed at separate waste collection and recycling. Therefore, plastic can also be collected by yourself, brought to eco-boxes at the university.
If you have already accumulated a significant amount of plastic somewhere, you can hand it over to the company EkoVostok Leader. A small amount of plastic can be handed over to eco-points in the city, which are located at the following addresses:
- Vinogradova str., 25/3,
- 49 Burova Street.
After the installation of the eco-boxes was completed, the School of Earth Sciences launched a challenge to the University in support of the project to collect as much plastic as possible for recycling:
