In D. Serikbayev EKSTU was held solemn meeting devoted to the Day of Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Rector of D. Serikbayev EKSTU - Nurlan Temirbekov congratulated the university staff and students with the main national holiday of the country.

- This is the most important holiday for Kazakhstan people, a great event for all our people who dreamed about independence many centuries, - he said. - With the independence, Kazakhstan people could build a democratic, legal and economically independent state. We can be proud of the achievements and success of our independent country.

Traditionally, there was a report on this solemn occasion where Dean of Mechanical Engineering and Transport Faculty Michael Dudkin sounded brilliant achievements of Kazakhstan during independence, as well as the success of the University over the past year.

In honor of Independence Day of the Republic of Kazakhstan some university employees were awarded - the badge, diplomas of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and letters of thanks of Akim of East Kazakhstan region, Аkim of Ust-Kamenogorsk, Rector of D. Serikbayev EKSTU.

Finally there was a concert devoted to this solemn ceremony.
