As part of the celebration of the 65th anniversary of the D. Serikbaev EKTU, from March 1 to April 12, 2023, at the Faculty of Humanities Education, the Department of Foreign Languages organized a regional essay competition in English on the topic “My Alma Mater”.
The purpose of the competition was to increase motivation for learning foreign languages and support students who speak English, as well as revealing in students a sense of belonging to a university with more than half a century of history.
The 1st year students of engineering specialties of VKTU named after D. Serikbaev, Karaganda Technical University named after Abylkas Saginov, KAFU. As a result of the competition, the following students received diplomas in 5 different nominations:

- Akhmetzhanov Alikhan - A.Sagynov Karaganda technical university

- Andrey Gladkikh - A.Sagynov Karaganda technical university
- Kambarova Alina - KAEU
For the official presentation of diplomas and certificates of participation, Natalya Fedorovna Denisova, Vice-Rector for Research and Digitalization, was invited to the solemn event.
