Within the framework of the project "Creation of a National Model of Engineering Education in the Context of the Implementation of Sustainable Development Goals" a visit to Seoul National University of Science and Technology (SeoulTech) was made by the team of D. Serikbayev EKTU, together with K. I. Satpayev KazNITU. During the visit, the delegation also met with representatives of the accreditation company ABEEK.
SeoulTech, one of the leading technical universities, is known for its advanced engineering programs and innovations in technology. The meeting discussed student and teacher exchanges, as well as the creation of dual degree programs in technical fields. SeoulTech shared its experience and innovative approaches in technology, and demonstrated its own electric car assembled at the university. An important stage of the discussion was the proposal to develop new joint research projects in the fields of electric cars and Mechanical Engineering. To implement this initiative, it is planned to create joint research groups, which will include employees of EKTU and SeoulTech.
Within the framework of the project, EKTU is actively working on the creation of a national alliance of engineering universities in Kazakhstan. One of the areas of the alliance's work is joining the Washington Accord, Sydney Accord and Dublin Accord. This will allow the recognition of educational documents that have received national accreditation in the countries participating in these agreements. This visit is an important step towards creating a modern and competitive model of engineering education in Kazakhstan. The introduction of international experience and standards will help to train specialists who can effectively solve sustainable development problems and make a significant contribution to the progress of society.
