A new scientific journal "SOCIAL SCIENCES & DIGITAL HUMANITIES" is planned to be published on the basis of the Business School of EKTU named after D. Serikbayev. The journal is created within the framework of the Strategic Development Programme of the University.
The journal aims to develop a professional communication space for cross-disciplinary scientific dialogue in the social sciences and humanities in the context of sustainable development.
The journal will fulfil the following tasks: to support innovative research in the social sciences and humanities; to present the results of scientists' research in an open discussion format; to familiarise the scientific community with current research results; to improve the quality of peer-reviewed scientific articles and publication culture; to provide access to scientific articles, as well as to increase their citation rate.
The specifics of the journal so far imply four main sections - economics and business, demography and sociology, history and archaeology, as well as cross-disciplinary and humanitarian studies. The journal will be published four times a year in Kazakh, Russian and English. The publication will be available online and articles will be accepted through the journal's website.
The launch of the journal will contribute to the creation of an academic community for the exchange of ideas and discussion of research, which will improve the quality of scientific publications and contribute to the solution of urgent socio-economic problems. The journal will bring together works on the interaction of social and economic processes, promoting an integrated view of problems. It will also strengthen international scientific ties through an interdisciplinary approach.
