Qualifying regional seminar “Technovation Challenge” took place in Astana, Kazakhstan. Our university was represented by 2 teams of girls from 11 to 18 years old. Team mentors were Doctor PhD, Associate Professor, S. Smailova; and student of group 14 ВТК 1,Zhetibai Baitenov.

The results of the work in the form of prototypes of the mobile application and business plans were presented to the international jury. It should be noted that the teams competed for the right to travel to the final of the competition in San Francisco, USA.

D. Serikbayev EKSTU is a regional center for a series of workshops on the preparation of girls' teams for participation in the global contest "Technovation Challenge". It’s become possible thanks to the project "Support girls in STEM careers through Technovation" due to a grant from the US Embassy in Kazakhstan for graduates of US scholarship programs.

Projects authors are graduates of TechWomen 2015 programs, Ph.D., Professor Daria Alontseva; and IVLP 2001 (TESOL) - Senior teacher of the Department of Foreign Languages, Tatyana Kolesnikova.
